Analytics for your Website

Chances are if you own a website you are already using Google's Analytics to sneak gather data on your website visitors. If not I would highly recommend giving Google Analytics a try. It is very easy to setup and use. All you need to do is put a small code generated by Google on each page of your website. Best part is you don't need to be super technical to do that.

For the ones who are already using Analytics, in the coming days Google will be rolling out a new version of Analytics with significant enhancements. Three major enhancements will include:
  • A redesigned Google Analytics platform to enable major new functionality
  • A streamlined interface to make it easier to get to the information you want
  • Improved report performance for faster reports
Google has finally introduced Real-Time data with the new interface. Real-Time data is very helpful in measuring immediate impact of Social Media sharing. It would help you to analyze how many hits to your website were directly related to sharing the site on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, etc. You can find the entire change log here
