Long Awaited Google TV 2.0 Update Announced

After months of speculation Google has finally unveiled the much anticipated update to Google TV. One of the major feature missing in Google TV was the ability to access Android Market and download Apps. With this update Google TV owners will now be able to download custom apps for their TVs and set-top box.

Other areas of focus with this update will be:

1. A Simple Interface with customizable home screen.
2. Make it easy to find something worth watching. You can now search for movies whether it is Netflix, Youtube, or Amazon.
3. Improvised YouTube experience with YouTube specifically built for Google TV.

According to The Official Google TV blog "software update will be coming to Sony devices starting early next week and Logitech devices soon thereafter. We look forward in the coming months to announcing new software updates as well as new devices on new chipsets from multiple hardware partners."
