Microsoft was the inspiration behind iPad's creation

Apple's iPad is a result of unnecessary boasting of a tablet in making by Microsoft's employee. In Steve Jobs's authorized biography by Walter Isaacson he mentions a dinner Steve was having with Microsoft Employee "This dinner was like the tenth time he talked to me about it, and I was so sick of it that I came home and said, F**k this, let's show him what a tablet can really be,".

His anger drove him to create Apple's first 7 inch tablet, iPad. So far combined total of 40 million iPads have been sold worldwide. I wonder what explanation does this unnamed employee give to Bill Gates.
